Testimonials from Progress Energy and CLECO
"Brian,
Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed your presentation last week. In 38 years with Carolina Power & Light Company, now Progress Energy it was the best and most informative drivers training session I have attended. I appreciate the emphasis that you put on driver responsibility and habits. I have heard several of our employees making very positive comments after the classes. Keep up the good work and I hope we see a reduction in vehicle accidents as a result of your training."

"100% agreement! Brian covered all the "typical" information we normally cover in defensive driving but gave it to us in a completely different format. He constantly related how failing to drive defensively impacts not only us but our company, our friends and family with specific examples worked in to his presentation with both humor and complete seriousness. One minute we were laughing and the next crying. He made us think of the consequences. How really, when you do "think", what minute amounts of time we "save" by ignoring good defensive driving habits and how much it "costs" everyone. I vote we try to use him for other trainings. He's the best I've seen period."

"Hi Walt and Craig;
Brian Pace conducted a defensive driving class in Fayetteville today for 17 of our eastern region team members. I've had nothing but positive comments on the presentation. He had full attention of the 17 participants for the full four hours of this class. I found no weakness in the presentation. In my 32 years with our company, this class is at the top of my list. I'm looking forward to the next defensive driving class. They did a great job! They have sure got me thinking about my driving habits!!
I've copied this note to some of our team members that attended today's class. They are welcome to share their feedback on pros and cons of the presentation."

"I agree with Johnny's comments. This was an excellent class for defensive driving. I came out of this class with a different perspective on driving. Again this was an EXCELLENT INSTRUCTOR!! He needs to be hired to be an instructor for all of Progress Energy training classes."

"Just wanted to add my comments... AWESOME job on this presentation. What an exquisite way of getting his point across and it really made you put things in to perspective. I think everyone in attendance today came out of that meeting with something that they could really focus on improving. Personally I have to work on stepping outside the "helicopter." Again I cannot say it too much that he did a wonderful job and I hope he is the chosen instructor for years to come!!"

I wanted to let you know that Brian Pace of The Driving School has done two defensive driving classes for us this year at Garner. The students have thoroughly enjoyed his class and have had nothing but positive things to say about his teaching. He has been great to work with on scheduling classes also. We will be using them again I'm sure."

"I was in your defensive driving class yesterday at New Hill. I wanted to let you know that you did a FANTASTIC job! I've been with the company for 23 years, had tons of training, but none have been as enjoyable as yours. Four hours is a lot of training, and I know a lot of the class was dreading it. I really thought this was going to be a wasted afternoon. But, you were able to take a pretty bland subject (a subject that we all are familiar with and know what we should do but don't always do the right thing) and interject humor along with the seriousness of the subject. I don't know how long you've been delivering this class for Progress Energy, but your reputation as a great instructor is spreading like wildfire.
Thanks so much for a very enjoyable afternoon and continued success to you.
P.S. (Your twin lives in Mebane - his name is Wayne Bragg (my brother-in-law) and you would be amazed at how much you two look alike -- you even act alike!) S C A R Y!!"
