TIMES: (Summer, Spring Break, and Christmas classes) 8:00am - 2:00 pm
(Classes during school) Weekdays 4:00- 7:00 and Saturdays 8:00-2:00

* Each of the dates above represents classroom instruction. Four(4) driving times will be scheduled after classroom instruction is completed.
How to sign up: Your child must be at least 14 1/2 to take driver education in North Carolina. Each class is limited to 20 students. Just pick a class and mail in a $50.00 deposit. The first 20 deposits are guaranteed a spot in that class. On the check or on a note, please indicated which class you are signing up for, along with your childs name. Then just show up the first day of class with the students social security number ( I do not need to see the card). A parent or guardian must- come with the student to fill out some paperwork.
PRICE: $395.00 ($50.00 Deposit is required to ensure a place in class.
Balance or $345.00 is due on the first day of class.)

DRIVING: The driving times are determined by the student test score averages -
Highest first, etc.
Students schedule 4 drives. These drives are 2-1/2 hours each
The student drives 1 hour and 15 minutes each time
they go out.
The drive times are: 8:00am - 10:30am
11:00am - 1:30pm
2:00pm - 4:30pm
4:00pm - 6:30pm
They must be on time for these drives and call ahead of time
if they are going to be late or miss a drive.
The student should wear shoes that tie or buckle, not flip-flops

Call the contact person for you school. Leave a message that you need your eligibility form. Give your name and telephone number. This contact person will call you back within 24-48 hours and tell you when you can pick up the form. You can not get the form until the child is 15 and have completed driver education, however you can request the form and ask to have it ready on their birthday and or the day you plan on going to the DMV. You may also request your childs school transcript. A parent must pick up this form.
* In North Carolina we all pay taxes. Part of that tax money goes to pay for driver education. When families come to Farriss Driving School they must pay again. For years we at Farriss Driving School and many commercial driver education schools have lobbied the state to offer vouchers to each child who is of age to take driver education. Then, that child and his or her family could choose where they would like to take driver education. Those that choose a commercial school like ours would not have to pay again. We at Farriss Driving School are just one voice. Please contact your local and state leaders about the voucher system for driver education in North Carolina. * Farriss Driving School holds the right to cancel any class at any time. Deposit pay for cancelled classed will be moved to another class or refunded.
