In most counties people can take a 4, 6, or 8 hour defensive driving course, and have their moving violation infraction reduced to an improper equipment infraction. This of course offers not point value on your insurance. This course may be taken once every 3 years. Tickets received outside of North Carolina may be reduced as well.
